Since receiving my total knee replacement from Dr. Tauro, I am finally able to enjoy playing with my grandchildren and I can go biking without experiencing pain. Prior to my surgery in March 2014, I struggled doing the things I loved most, because the pain in my knee severely limited my movement and ability to perform daily activities. When I decided to seek help, I knew that Dr. Tauro was the surgeon I wanted to see. Initially my wife was one of Dr. Tauro’s patients when she needed a total ACL repair, and after having such a pleasant and successful experience, she recommended me to see him when I needed rotator cuff repair back in 2009. When I began having knee pain there was no question that Dr. Tauro was going to be my doctor again, given the positive recovery and outcomes both my wife and I experienced. I liked that Dr. Tauro initially tried alternative treatments instead of recommending surgery right away. I felt that he truly took the time to understand my own personal situation and we started with a series of shots to get rid of the discomfort and pain I was experiencing, but after two months and close evaluation, Dr. Tauro made the recommendation that a total knee replacement was what I really needed. Sure enough, he was right, and I couldn’t be more thankful for his expertise in guiding me through the entire process. I was back up and walking, with the assistance of a walker, the day immediately following my surgery. After doing physical therapy for approximately two months, I am feeling great and I’m so happy that I no longer suffer from knee pain. Dr. Tauro is down to earth, and his knowledge and approachable personality made me feel very comfortable and confident throughout the entire process. I have already recommended Dr. Tauro to several people, and will continue to do so. Now that I’m no longer limited by my knee pain, I’m excited to get back into mountain biking and enjoy the time with my grandchildren.
