When I was 35, I suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon, and was told that I would need surgery to repair it. My wife, Karen, is a nurse, so naturally she was the first person I could think of to point me in the direction of a good surgeon. She told me that in her experience, she could always tell when Dr. Tauro had performed a surgery on a patient, because every incision was perfect. Her recommendation, coupled with the recommendations of several of our friends, was enough for me to select Dr. Tauro as my surgeon, and I’m so glad I did. Since then, I’ve been back to Dr. Tauro twice; once for an operation on my left shoulder when I was 47, and again for rotator cuff repair on my right shoulder just last summer. Every experience has been nothing but positive, from the exceptional quality of Dr. Tauro’s work, to his great attitude that comes with it. You simply can’t not like the guy. Before my most recent surgery, I could tell that my right shoulder wasn’t holding up. It was becoming too painful to do daily activities, such as putting on a jacket, or placing my arm on the seatback when I was backing up in my car. I also like to go swimming in the summer, which was totally out of the question. Having had such positive experiences in the past, making the decision to return to Dr. Tauro was a no-brainer. He evaluated my symptoms, performed the surgery, and had me in for physical therapy shortly after. Within eight months, I had achieved full recovery, and now both of my shoulders are feeling great! I’m pleased to say that I’ve since been able to resume working out, golfing, and of course swimming. I would 100% recommend Dr. Tauro to anyone in the area in search of orthopedic care. In fact, I’ve sent two of my own children to Dr. Tauro to treat knee injuries they sustained from playing football. He’s always done an outstanding job, and it’s clear that he wants to do what’s best for his patients. I also like that he’ll try to remedy any issues without surgery first if possible, as was the case with my kids. It’s pretty obvious that Dr. Tauro is constantly striving to stay on the cutting edge of his craft, which for me, makes him a medical professional that I know I can trust.
