As a new service to our patients, we are now featuring OrthoInfo on our website! OrthoInfo is an excellent source of information provided by the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS) on musculoskeletal conditions and injuries — how they are treated, as well as how they can be prevented.
Founded in 1933, the AAOS is a preeminent provider of musculoskeletal education to orthopedic surgeons in the United States and in many other parts of the world. Its continuing medical education activities include a comprehensive Annual Meeting, multiple continuing medical education courses, and various medical and scientific publications and multimedia materials.
Although in this day and age, commercial suppliers of orthopedic implants and instruments may provide surgeon education, the AAOS (and its subspecialties such as AANA, the Arthroscopy Association of America) provide only non commercial and thus unbiased education for its members. Most orthopedic surgeons spend many hours on continuing education provided by the AAOS and its subspecialty societies.
That’s why we’re excited to feature OrthoInfo on our website as an excellent source of information about articles and videos that are developed by orthopedic surgeons who are members of the AAOS. All of the content on the website is peer-reviewed by physician members of the AAOS OrthoInfo Editorial Board who are experts in their fields. This peer-review process ensures the accuracy and completeness of its content.
So check out OrthInfo on the main page of our website! It’s an excellent place to start when looking for information on an orthopedic problem.Leave a reply
